Jamari & Katherin’s Intimate Seattle Rooftop Wedding | Sentral Hill

Katherin and Jamari’s June 26, 2026 wedding at Sentral Hill in Seattle, Washington, was an intimate celebration surrounded by their closest friends and family. With a beautiful rooftop setting, heartfelt moments, and the people who mean the most to them, their wedding day was the perfect beginning to a new chapter together.

But their story didn’t begin in Seattle.

It began unexpectedly in North Dakota.

From Two Different Places to Finding Each Other

Katherin grew up in Colombia before moving to Washington in 2018, while Jamari is originally from Daytona Beach, Florida. Neither of them probably imagined that their paths would cross in Minot, North Dakota.

Then came the Air Force.

Jamari joined in 2022, and Katherin followed in 2023. And, as Katherin jokingly put it, for some “not very funny reason,” the Air Force decided that their careers would begin in North Dakota.

A place Katherin admits she didn’t even know where it was.

She arrived in Minot in November 2023, where Jamari had already been living for about a year. Their offices worked together often, and through their coworkers, the two slowly became friends.

Then came bowling…

The Bowling Night That Changed Everything

One day, both offices went bowling together. What Katherin didn’t know at the time was that Jamari had actually planned the outing with the hope of getting a chance to talk to her outside of work.

And it worked.

That night, he asked for her number.

They’ve been inseparable ever since.

What started as a friendship quickly became something much deeper. Katherin describes their relationship as one where they complement each other perfectly. They bring out the funniest sides of one another while also being each other’s calm.

And yes, Jamari apparently comes with an endless supply of terrible dad jokes.

Honestly, it sounds like Katherin knew what she was signing up for.

When You Know You’ve Found Your Person

For Katherin, realizing Jamari was “the one” wasn’t about one dramatic moment.

It was about something much quieter.

She started imagining a future with him.

Before Jamari, marriage and children were never things Katherin had dreamed about or considered a priority. But meeting the right person changed that.

She began seeing a life they could build together, and suddenly, marriage wasn’t something she was simply willing to do—it was something she genuinely wanted.

Sometimes, that’s how you know.

Not because someone changes who you are, but because being with them makes you excited to build a future while still being completely yourself.

A Wedding Day Surrounded by Their Favorite People

On June 26, 2026, Katherin and Jamari gathered their closest friends and family at Sentral Hill in Seattle to celebrate that future.

Their wedding was intimate and intentional, centered around the people who matter most to them.

One of the things Katherin was most excited about was seeing both families together for the first time. Although she and Jamari had each met each other’s families, their families had never had the chance to meet one another.

Their wedding day changed that.

It was more than saying “I do.”

It was bringing two families, two backgrounds, and two lives together to celebrate the beginning of something new.

And, of course, it was finally getting to say those two little words to her best friend:

I do.

A Love That Feels Like Home

When asked what they love most about each other, Katherin said it best: their personalities.

They bring out the funny side in each other, but they are also each other’s calm.

That balance is something really special.

They can laugh together, be silly together, and probably exchange a few questionable dad jokes—but they can also be the safe place the other person comes home to.

Even their favorite date night says a lot about them.

Give these two a movie theater and they’re happy.

They both love going to the movies because it makes them feel like little kids again. And honestly, I love that. In a world where date nights can feel like they have to be elaborate or Instagram-worthy, sometimes the best ones are simply sitting next to your favorite person in a dark theater, sharing popcorn, and getting lost in a movie together.

The Beginning of Their Next Chapter

Katherin and Jamari’s story has already taken them across states, through unexpected career paths, and all the way to North Dakota—where neither of them probably expected to find the person they would eventually marry.

And now, their story continues in Seattle.

Their June 26 wedding wasn’t about a huge guest list or an elaborate celebration. It was about them.

Their closest people.

Their families meeting for the first time.

Their favorite people gathered in one place.

And two best friends choosing each other for all the chapters still to come.

This was the beginning of their next chapter.

And I’m so honored that I got to be there to document it.

Sincerely,

Marie Nelson
